Cheryl BemelCheryl Bemel, PhD, NCSP is a licensed child/adolescent psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, who was formerly a licensed teacher. Since incorporating hypnosis 14 years ago into her clinical work, Dr. Bemel quickly demonstrated her capacities as a leader and a teacher. She is the President of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis and is a faculty member with NPHTI (7 years), MSCH, and ASCH. Dr. Bemel is an Approved Consultant with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. In her current private practice, she sees children, teens, and adults targeting habit control, heathier relationships with food, trauma treatment, healing from chronic pain, and successfully living with chronic health conditions. With further advanced training (National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (NCTTP0), Dr. Bemel also assists adolescents to become non-smokers. In 2017, Dr. Bemel received the Courage Kenny Rehab Institute’s Jacobsen Award for her innovative design in safety measures, increasing protective head gear/helmet appeal for children with disabilities. |
