Elaine WynneElaine Wynne is a Licensed Psychologist in Minnesota. She is President/Founder of Veteran Resilience Project and is a former ASCH Consultant in Hypnosis and MSCH Faculty Member; She has taught Pediatric Hypnosis for 10 years. She learned Clinical Hypnosis as a graduate student in 1980 from Karen Olness, M.D., and Daniel Kohen, M.D. She co-authored with Dr. Kohen “Applying Hypnosis in a Preschool Family Asthma Education Program: Uses of Storytelling, Imagery and Relaxation” in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis (1997). She collaborated with Dr. Olness in “The Rainbow Dream” a fairy tale story to teach Relaxation and Mental Imagery to children with cancer. Ms. Wynne co-authored with Wayne Rusin, M.D. a group of music videos with sixth graders from Anderson School to teach other kids how to do Relaxation/Mental Imagery for success in studies, relationships, sports and meeting life challenges. She was co-recipient of the at Grand Prize at the Tokyo Video Festival in 1987, for creating an International Video letter between children in St. Paul, MN and London, England. As an ASCH consultant and psychotherapist, she has taught and practiced self hypnosis for Self Regulation and Ego State Therapy. She pre-learned self hypnosis by spinning while listening to fairy tales and playing the piano by ear, starting at age 5. She has trained in numerous cross cultural/indigenous storytelling and trance state workshops. |
