Harriet Kohen

Harriet A. Kohen, LICSW, CPT is a clinical social worker and practices at Kohen Therapy Associates in Minnetonka, MN where she works with children, youth and adults teaching self regulation skills and providing psychotherapy. Her particular passion is working with individuals with chronic conditions and treating anxiety. Formerly, she worked at the University of Minnesota Adolescent Health Program (managing and coordinating research focused on children with disabilities, and organizing conferences to develop policy focused on children with disabilities in communities of color), and at UMN Children’s Hospital as a social worker in pediatric oncology, NICU, and Blood and Marrow Transplant program, and at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics. She has been in private practice since 2008. Ms. Kohen is the Past President and a Fellow of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Social Workers. She is a member and faculty member of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She is also the Credential Chair of the International Federation of Biblio/Poetry Therapy and is a Certified Poetry Therapist who utilizes expressive writing and poetry in her practice for exploring and strengthening self-expression.
